Job Description
The CDB-iEM platform, built by Creative Biostructure, is a powerful and versatile system for high-resolution microscopic analysis of cellular motility complexes, ultrastructure, and many other material subjects. To further enhance our service capabilities, we are looking for a scientist with experience in the field of cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM). We are providing cryo-EM services such as single particle analysis (SPA), cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) for companies and biomedical researchers. Among them, cryo-ET is increasingly being developed as a major technical tool for studying cell structure and function.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the technical direction of SPA or cryo-ET, training and instructing staff on the use of appropriate software for data collection, structure analysis, and reporting.
Manage the execution and completion of project plans through effective coordination of personnel and resources.
Participate in the execution of cryo-EM sample preparation and testing, image data analysis, and other technical service projects.
Participate in the development and application of cryo-EM related methodology.
Consultation and assistance in the design of cryo-EM experiments.
Basic Qualifications
Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology, genomics, physics, or related fields.
A solid theoretical foundation or operational experience in cryo-EM is preferred.
Pro-active mindset, ability to think end-to-end.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
