Job Description

Cryo-EM has been developed as a powerful high-resolution technique in structural biology research. For this experimental technique, sample preparation is an important part. We need a highly motivated technical assistant who is responsible for the preparation of cryo-EM samples and the daily maintenance of the associated instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cryo-EM sample preparation, such as cryosectioning, high-pressure freezing, freeze substitution, and so on.

• Routine maintenance of instruments related to cryo-EM.

• Manage and track the projects, make progress reports on a regular basis.

• Collect information about the microscopy industry, and assist in the overall planning of R&D projects.

Basic Qualifications

• Ph.D. biology, physics, materials, or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge of electron microscopy sample preparation manufacturing and optimization.

• Able to work under stress.

• Strong problem-solving and analysis capabilities.

• Work proactively and responsibly with a sense of service and teamwork.
